- Knowledge of the language, texts and culture of the Goths.
- Prerequisites
- This is an advanced course. It is advisable for students to have passed the exam in Germanic Philology I before attending the course.
- Teaching methods
- Teaching hours in classroom, with help of slides. Part of the course is taught in seminar form.
- Learning verification modality
- The final exam will be oral (at least three questions on the program). The student should be able to answer the questions confidently and knowledgeably.
- Extended program
- The course looks at the language and culture of the Goths through their texts. The focus will be on the Gothic manuscripts and on the linguistic and text-critical analysis of the Gothic texts.
