Other information
The frequency of the lessons is not compulsory but highly recommended as well as a condition for access to the test in progress that precedes the final exam. The detailed program and additional information (reference texts and readings proposed during the lessons) can be found in the portal Unistudium (https///www.unistudium.unipg.it/unistudium/).
Learning verification modality
The course of the exam will be written, through an online platform test. The test will be divided into one of the following methods:
A) Single final test (without paper): comments to the text of four steps taken from the scheduled volume and the readings that will be presented in class; the maximum time available is 60 minutes.
B) Final test for those who support the exemption (paper): comments to the three-step text
taken from the scheduled volume and readings that will be presented in class; the maximum time available is 50 minutes.
The main subject of assessment concerns the acquisition of critical capacity, the levels of knowledge and understanding regarding the theoretical and methodological content illustrated during the course of the Lessons.
The assessment of the skills acquired during the examination is measured in thirtieth.
During the course there is the possibility of optional tests in progress, the methods of which will be made known by the teacher during the lessons and by publishing notices on the page Unistudium course.
For information on support services for students with disabilities and/or DSA visit http://www.unipg.it/disab-e-dsa
In the event that the student intends to advance the exam in a year prior to that planned in the study plan, it is recommended to attend the cycle of lessons and take the exam in the first useful appeal after the lessons themselves are finished, in compliance with the teaching planning semester.
Extended program
The course introduces some of the main categories of moral philosophy through the deepening of issues related to the anthropological dimension, with particular reference to the notions of intersubjectivity and hospitality. A first part of the course will be dedicated to the theme of otherness and hospitality as a meeting place between aesthetics and ethics. The second part of the course will focus on the analysis of the anthropological and ethical perspective of Tzvetan Todorov, through the commented reading of some parts of The common life. Further readings will be proposed during the lessons and shared on the Unistudium page of the course.
