Educational objectives
The course aims to:
- Develop Knowledge and comprehension skills in the field of psychology applied to sport and motor activities, both in the contexts of prevention and in the specialty, for adults and developmental age.
- Enable the student to apply this knowledge to resolve new situations related to the design of work (intervention, research, individual case, group) based on sport and motor activity, contemplating the psychological aspects as elements that promote and support the work or as friction factors.
- Develop Autonomy of Judgement: it is expected that the student will be able to integrate knowledge acquired at a theoretical level with the specificity of concrete cases that he/she may encounter in work contexts.
- Develop communication skills that will enable him/her to communicate with specialists (and non-specialists) in the sector and/or in an interdisciplinary manner.
- Develop learning skills, and competence in the autonomous study and research of specialized material in the sector also and through the use of bibliographic research in sector databases.
Prerequisites
The student must possess basic knowledge of General Psychology.
This knowledge must be possessed to understand the course content.
Teaching methods
The course will take place as face-to-face class and classroom exercises.
Other information
The student can check the course material and any announcements/notices from the Professor on UniStudium during the course.
Learning verification modality
For attending students (in attendance or DAD) who would like to work on a group project:
- 50% of the final grade will be based on a final written exam consisting of:
15 multiple choice questions with 3 choices (one correct answer only, each question worth one point, with no point deductions for wrong or missing answers, for a maximum of 30 points)
- 50% of the final grade will be based on a group project with a classroom presentation, graded in thirtieths and the possibility of Honors.

If a student rejects the grade obtained for the group project (the choice falls to the individual and is not to be taken as a group in its entirety), he or she will have to take the exam in the manner below and will not be able to go back on his or her choice.

For non-attending or attending students with no grade for the group project (because not taken, insufficient, or refused grade):

- 3 open-ended questions graded from 0 to 11 (the extra point counts toward the award of Honors in case of an overall grade of 30/30).

In case of repeated attempts, the grade received on the last attempt, and not the highest grade, remains valid.

On the day of the exam, please check the classroom in which the exam will be administered on the schedule board at the entrance of the Department or on the ONLINE DAILY TIMETABLE OF CLASSROOM LESSONS webpage at www.fissuf.unipg.it

The written exam will be administered in person on a personal electronic device via the LibreEol platform.

Those who cannot use their electronic device may take the exam at one of the LIDU (Humanities Departments Computer Laboratory) stations after completing the recognition procedures in the classroom and at the time indicated in the schedule. To reserve a seat at the LIDU, it is necessary to request by indicating it in the notes when booking for the exam.

Further information will be posted on the exam booking page on the SOL and the course's UniStudium page.

Exam Duration:
- Attendees with project: 20 minutes
- Non-attending or attending without project: 30 minutes
- Students with DSA certification: +30% of the time allotted (with project = 25 minutes, without project = 40 minutes)

Students with disabilities and/or SLDs are invited to visit the page on tools and measures and to agree in advance on what is necessary with the Professor (https://www.unipg.it/disabilita-e-dsa)

In case the student intends to advance the exam to a year earlier than the one scheduled in the study plan, it is recommended to attend the lecture series and take the exam in the first useful call after the lectures themselves are finished, thus respecting the semester of the teaching schedule.
Extended program
The course aims to introduce the student to the study of psychology applied to sport and motor activity with reference also to the contexts of prevention and 'specialty', both for adulthood and developmental age, to also develop planning and implementation skills from a multidisciplinary perspective.
