Contents | Introduction to Human Anatomy. Gross anatomy of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, reproductive system, nervous system and endocrine system. Microscopic anatomy of the respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system and endocrine system. |

Educational objectives | Acquisition of basic knowledge of Topographic, Macroscopic and Microscopic Anatomy of thoraco-abdominal viscera and nervous system. |
Prerequisites | To understand the contents discussed in the course, the student must have acquired basic knowledge about the organization and functioning of cells in living organisms. |
Teaching methods | The course is organized as follows:-face to face lectures on all subjects of the course. During lectures, teacher uses video and slide projectors as main tools. |
Other information | The course is structured in three parts: Anatomy, Physiology, General Pathology. |
Learning verification modality | The method of verifying learning will take place through an oral examination. |
Extended program | 1. General organization: anatomical apparatuses and systems. 2. Cardiovascular system: heart and principal vessels. 3. Respiratory apparatus: nose, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs. 4. Alimentary apparatus: oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, salivary glands, liver, pancreas. 5. Urinary apparatus: kidney and urinary passages. 6. Nervous system: general organization and nervous activities. 7. Sensory system. Motor system. 8. Spinal cord: general organization of the white matter and gray matter. Primary, secondary and associative cortical areas. 9. Endocrine system: general organization and principal glands. 10. Hearing and visual apparatuses 11. Microscopic anatomy of the respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system and endocrine system. |
