Educational objectives
The course aims to offer the student an overview, with varying degrees of depth, of the main issues concerning the impact of technological evolution in the subordinate and autonomous employment relationship, with particular attention to current law but without neglecting evolutionary profiles and de iure condendo perspectives. The objective of the course is to develop in the student a legal method of approaching the problems of labor law interest presented by daily reality that will enable him or her to resolve each issue by correctly applying the notions learned. The wealth of knowledge and experience accumulated in the course of lectures will enable the student to take a position on controversial issues and to realize the legal consequences of supporting one thesis rather than another.
Prerequisites
In order to understand and know how to approach the course, the student must possess knowledge of the institutions of private law and public law.
This prerequisite applies to both attending and non-attending students.
Teaching methods
The course is organized as follows: lectures and/or flipped lessons that will focus on two closely related parts, devoted respectively to the study of labor law and individual labor relations. The lectures will involve the active participation of the chair's assistants and students, so as to encourage cross-examination aimed at getting students accustomed to clearly stating their theses in front of their classmates. More willing students may be assigned term papers and summaries of case law that are useful in deepening the topics covered in class. The lecture course will be supported by a series of exercises on practical cases. Some topics may be addressed or explored in seminars conducted by the lecturer, collaborators or guest lecturers. Intermediate tests may be conducted during the lecture course in a manner agreed upon from time to time with the students.
