- The course will focus on the emergence of the "woman question" in relation to the deep culturala nd social and political changes induced by the economic and political revolutions of the XVIII century. From there on specific biographic itineraries of prominent or otherwise significant women will form the thread for a discussion of the diverse and complex themes involved in the discussion about women's changing roles in the contemporary world.

- Course materials will be suggested by the teacher on an individual basis. All materials will be loaded on the e-learning platform UNISTUDIUM.
- Educational objectives
Students will have solid knowledge of the main turning points in women's social and political history in the XXth century and will be able to understand historical roots of contemporary problems related to the persistent "woman question".- Prerequisites
General knowledge of the main focus points of a high school curriculum in modern history is recommended.- Teaching methods
The course is divided in two parts. The introductory part consists of face to face lessons, the second part will focus on discussion of papers and presentations by the students.- Other information
- Gli studenti lavoratori e gli studenti disabili/DSA sono pregati di contattare la docente all'inizio del corso. Eventuali problematiche saranno discusse e risolte in maniera individualizzata.
- Learning verification modality
Oral presentations are planned for attending students and their evaluation will contribute to the final grade. The final oral examination consists of a 15-20 minute dialogue with the teacher on themes discussed during lessons.
If italian language skills are felt not to be adequate, a written or oral exam can be taken in english. If that's the case, please contact me in advance.- Extended program
