Contents
The course analyzes the theoretical reasons, the foundations and the institutions of the corruption prevention system and of the rules and principles of transparency in public administrations
Reference texts
For non-attending students: 1. for the part on anticorruption R. Cantone, Il sistema della prevenzione della corruzione, Giappichelli, 2020 or alternatively, since available, E. Carloni, L'anticorruzione. Politiche, regole, modelli, Il Mulino, 2023 (the release is scheduled for February 2023); together, for the part on transparency, with: 2. E. Carloni, Il paradigma trasparenza, Il Mulino, 2022.
For students attending the text "The transparency paradigm" should be accompanied by the study of the materials and handouts on the prevention of corruption provided during the lessons, it may however be useful to read R. Cantone, E. Carloni, Corruzione e anticorruzione. Dieci lezioni, Feltrinelli, 2018 (or in economic series, 2021).
For foreign students who intend to take the exam in English, the reference text is E. Carloni, M. Gnaldi (edited by), Understanding and preventing corruption in Europe. From Repression to prevention, Springer, 2021.
Educational objectives
The course aims to provide skills in the field of prevention policies, instruments and mechanisms for monitoring and contrast. The course aims to provide useful skills to carry out functions in the field of transparency and anti-corruption in public and para-public organizations, as well as transversal skills in risk analysis, privacy and compliance
Prerequisites
Prerequisites are not required. The basic knowledge of the functioning and organization of public administrations is certainly useful
Teaching methods
Lectures, exercises, case analysis, group work, independent reports and in-depth studies to be presented in the classroom

Learning verification modality
Oral examination. During the course there will be exemptions and written exercises, intermediate tests and evaluations on debates and presentations
