Contents | Knowledge and handling of dental materials used in prosthetics. Preparation and use of impression materials (alginates, silicones). Laboratory techniques for prosthetic fabrication: casting plaster models, diagnostic wax-up. Fabrication of thermo-moulded templates. Use of facial arch and articulator. Use of new digital technologies: Introduction to CAD/CAM systems for prosthetic design and fabrication. Intraoral scanning and design software. Introduction to the use of virtual articulators. |
