The course introduces students to the main concepts, theories and debates in the field of strategic studies. Through an interdisciplinary perspective, the history of strategic thinking, the causes and conduct of wars will be addressed, providing a theoretical reference framework to understand and analyze the versatile phenomenon of conflict in the contemporary world.
The three modules of the course are designed to help students define and interpret strategy in its broadest sense, comprehend what it is, how strategists think, and analyze contemporary strategic challenges.

Frontal lessons structured around the constant interaction of students through discussion.
Students attending will have the opportunity to perform classroom simulations in which they apply the theory on a contemporary (real) case study. Thus, building a bridge between theory and practice.
The case study will be presented by the teacher at the beginning of the course.- Other information
