Contents Obstetric care has undergone a profound process of change characterized by the transition from art, based on experiential practices, to science, based on real scientific evidence.
The technological progress that characterizes today's society, and in particular the advent of the internet, has led users and health professionals to have easy and immediate access to countless health information. The challenge is to able to accurately identify and evaluate which of this information is scientifically proven and, above all, up-to-date and reliable. One of the duties of the midwife is to know the websites of national and non-national institutions and organizations/associations, from which to extrapolate scientific information that is truly reliable and, therefore, be able to use it to improve the quality of care but also to promote its dissemination to obstetric users thus reducing the risk of fake news.
