Particular attention will be paid, in this context, to the legal regime of plant genetic resources (Nagoya Convention and FAO Treaty on plant genetic resources), to the role of international law in the protection of traditional knowledge of agricultural interest, to the emergence of peasants' rights and “biocultural” rights in the current context of climate change.

With reference to the sources of European Union law, articles 38-44 of the TFEU and the main acts of secondary law will be analysed. Particular attention will be paid to the CAP, to rural development policy, to the "From Farm to Fork" strategy.
