- Italian. Non-Italian students and Erasmus students are invited to take the course. Readings and other course material are also available in English. Please contact the instructor for further details and to schedule an appointment during the first week of the lessons.
- Contents
- The course is divided in two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical part. The aim is to study the political parties, the comparative political system and the democratic governments, and then deepen a case study.
- Reference texts
- The material for the exam will be provided during the course. The program will be uploaded on the Unistudium platform.
- Educational objectives
- At the end of the course students will have to know the basics of literature on political parties and comparative political systems, and be able to interpret the relationships between the political sphere, the institutional sphere and models of democracy. In this regard, the continuous tension between theoretical reflection and empirical knowledge allow students to deepen national and international case studies.

- No prerequisites.
- Teaching methods
- The course includes frontal lectures by the teacher. The last part of the course is devoted to the works carried out by students who attend the seminar research.

- Other information will be provided by the teacher on the Unistudium platform of the Department.
- Learning verification modality
- The preparation of the students will be evaluated through a written test on the books of the program. Only attending students can check it.
- Extended program
- The course is aimed at deepening of: 1) political parties; 2) comparative political system; 3) democratic governments. The program is also published on Unistudium.
