- Educational objectives The course aims to transmit knowledge to the student
• the aspects and problems of transmission and tradition, the edition and interpretation of Italian literary texts;
• skills for the treatment of copies and originals, from the Origins to the twentieth century;
• sources, methodologies and practices, studies and tools;
• some case studies.
The student is therefore expected to develop some main skills and abilities ( understood as the ability to apply the knowledge acquired ): knowing how to reflect on the aspects and problems of transmission and tradition, the edition and interpretation of Italian literary texts; knowing how to identify, describe, apply and consult sources, methodologies and tools; knowing how to read the sources in the original forms; knowing how to critically identify the main issues related to the case studies illustrated. - Prerequisites
- Paleography skills.
- Teaching methods
- Frontal and seminar lessons with the direct involvement of the participants.

- Learning verification modality
- Oral exam. The test consists of an interview of about 30 minutes in which the acquisition of the specific and methodological contents of the course and of the reference texts indicated in the exam program is assessed.
Students with disabilities and / or with DSA who, having completed regular accreditation through SOL, have obtained access to University services, for the purpose of carrying out the verification tests, compensatory instruments, dispensing measures and inclusive technologies provided for by the legislation may be used, to be requested and agreed with the teacher well in advance of the tests. - Exegesis and edition of Italian literary texts. The exam program provides for the discussion of the aspects and problems of transmission and tradition, of the edition and interpretation of Italian literary texts. During the course, some case studies are presented in lectures and discussed in a seminar way, chosen from the most significant from the Origins to the twentieth century. In particular, this part of the course in codocence will deal with the evolution of the editorial system between the nineteenth century and the contemporary world. Some significant case studies will be lost: Pasolini, Rosselli, Penna.
