At the end of the course the student will have adequate knowledge to orient himself critically with respect to the historical and cultural framework of the 1960s and 1970s. He or she will also be able to orient and reflect independently on the relationship between literature and the changes taking place. In particular, the student is expected to have gained: a) a critical knowledge and understanding of the topics covered; b) the ability to apply, in an active and autonomous way, the knowledge and skills acquired to reflect on the relationship between literature and society; c) the ability to evaluate and judge in-progress phenomena and to connect them to a framework of general and complex references, literary but also social and cultural; d) an adequate capacity of expression and communication, using appropriate and scientifically sound language; e) the ability to ask questions and make hypotheses that allow him to expand on and develop the topics covered in the course.
Prerequisites
Being a master's course, it is a prerequisite to be able to orient oneself in the Italian literature of the Eight and in particular of the twentieth century, as well as at least a general knowledge of authors such as Moravia, Pasolini, Calvino, Fortini. An excellent command of the Italian language is also useful, as well as basic knowledge of contemporary history.

Extended program
1) youth movements in the 1960s: attention to beat generations, its presence in Italy and the critical representation that intellectuals such as Calvino and Pasolini give; 2) the Sixty-eight and its historical and cultural effects: the Sixty-eight represents the watershed, even generational, between the cultural horizon of the left still linked to the factory and the Marxist heritage ( Pasolini or Fortini ), and a youth world challenges the social system but also the traditional left. From this point of view, Gianni Cesarano's reflection is exemplary; 3) youth movements in the seventies and literature: the seventies saw the entry into the scene of new passwords: body, desire, free sexuality. The sphere of personnel assumes traits of strong political and cultural contestation: it affects activists but also narrators and poets. The contribution of French culture, and in particular of Deleuze and Guattari, is fundamental. Two central figures are Franco “ Bifo ” Berardi and Gianni Celati; 4) The ’ 77 and its representation. The last part of the course will focus on Bologna, the movement and the role of cultural mediator of Gianni Celati.
