Students with disabilities and/or with SLD who, having completed regular accreditation through SOL, have obtained access to University services, can apply for the compensatory tools ensured by law (e.g. textbooks in digital format; teaching materials in accessible formats: presentations, handouts, workbooks, provided if necessary in advance of the lessons), for which consult https://www.unipg.it/disabilita-e-dsa. For the request, students are invited to ask the teacher, who will put them in contact with the Disability and/or DSA Department Coordinator (prof. Alessandra Di Pilla: alessandra.dipilla@unipg.it)
Educational objectives
The course enhances and strengthens the knowledge and skills acquired by students during their university career for the purpose of teaching Italian literature. It is also a reflection on the educational value and potentialities of literature, on the role of humanities and literature in schools, as well as in the italian and european society. It is also an education in the critical use of resources available for teaching (manuals, online resources) and on the educational use of new digital technologies. The course prepares students for the new post-graduate courses for teacher training in Italian schools, and the credits obtained in this course – within the limits established by ministerial regulations – are recognized in the 'Percorsi di Formazione dei Docenti'.
Prerequisites
At least one Italian literature examination is required.
Teaching methods
Direct lessons, laboratory activities, use of digital technologies for teaching (online platform, presentation slides, AI). The teaching method in a teaching of didactics is already part of the teaching content and as such is the object of reflection. Laboratory-type experiences during the course (didactic use of digital tools and resources; reports on readings; critical comparison; didactic simulations). Alessandra Di Pilla: alessandra.dipilla@unipg.it).
Other information
Because of the laboratory nature of the course, it's not possible to take the examination with substitute programs for non-attenders. Only for motivated and proven cases, they can be agreed with the teachers. Attendance checked by roll call. Supplementary readings are imposed to students who attend less than 60% of lessons.
Learning verification modality
The final examination consists of an oral test, at the end of the course: 1. knowledge acquired during the course and with the study of the bibliography in the program; 2. Didactical skills acquired, through a simulation of a lesson, in oral form, on a literary theme assigned during the course. The answers to the exam questions will determine an evaluation based on the propriety of language, the exhaustiveness of the contents, the ability to transpose the contents into effective teaching choices. Students with disabilities and/or with SLD who, having completed regular accreditation through SOL, have obtained access to University services, can apply for compensatory tools, dispensatory measures and inclusive technologies ensured by law, to be requested and agreed with the teacher well in advance of tests and exams.
Extended program
1. Today's school. The language and literature teacher. Historical and normative aspects. The new generations at school. 2. The technological revolution of the school. Tools (teaching platforms, virtual classrooms, etc.) and resources (digital repertoires, websites, etc.) for teaching Italian and European literature. 3. Objectives, methods, tasks of teaching literature today. 4. The literary text in class. Experiences, choices, procedures, and teaching strategies. 4. Teaching literature from the Origins to the Eighteenth Century. 5. Teaching the literature of the Nineteenth and Twentieth Century. 6. Approach to contemporaneity.
