The course aims to provide the student with the mathematical
foundations, with a particular focus on their connections with computer
science.

Educational objectives
To provide the foundations of logical reasoning, to understand the basics
of numerical computation, and to master the fundamental tools of
mathematical analysis.

Lectures in the classroom with exercises
Learning verification modality
The exam will focus on a written test with exercises and theory questions.
Extended program
Introduction to mathematical logic, numerical sets, functions and their
main properties, limits, continuity, an overview of series, differentiability,
applications of differential calculus, Taylor's formula and Taylor series
expansions, Riemann integration, introduction to numerical analysis.
