Highlights
H2CU is an inter-university centre for international education, established in 2004 and administratively based at Sapienza University of Rome. It brings together 21 Italian universities and three institutes of the National Research Council (CNR) with the aim of promoting academic and scientific cooperation between the Italian higher education system and leading universities in the United States.
The Centre develops dual degree programmes, joint education and research initiatives, international doctoral programmes, and mobility opportunities for students, doctoral candidates, academic staff, and researchers. Through agreements with institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Columbia University, New York University, Pace University, and Florida International University, H2CU promotes international education and strengthens scientific collaboration between Italy and the United States.
Within the framework of this Centre, the University of Perugia owns nine accommodation places at the H2CU Residence. The Residence is managed by the Management Committee, chaired by the Director of the Centre and composed of one representative from each member institution that owns accommodation places.
There are three accommodation periods: Spring Term (1 January–31 May), Summer Term (1 June–20 August), and Fall Term (1 September–31 December, although residents are encouraged to vacate their rooms by 23 December).
Applications are open to students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and academic staff who intend to undertake a period of study, training, or research at universities, institutions, or public or private organizations based in New York.
Application procedures are governed by the Regolamento di Ateneo per l'accesso al College Italia. Applications must be submitted by the following deadlines: 30 September for the Spring Term; 28 February for the Summer Term and 15 May for the Fall Term.
