Educational objectives Teaching provides the main opportunity to learn the entire historical framework of medical- antropology and to measure oneself against ethnographic methodologies It is also a fundamental objective of the teaching to provide students with the basis and tools to deal with a cross-cultural discourse of anthropological-medical interpretation; therefore, the main knowledge acquired should cover:
1) Acquisition of cultural mediation skills in the clinical context.
2) Acquisition of cross-cultural capacity in the doctor-patient relationship.
3) Humanization.
Prerequisites Perfect knowledge of Italian languageIn order to be able to understand and know how to approach the course, the student must possess the general notions related to the environmental context and organization of the territory, both from the physical aspect and from the aspect of human presence, notions that the student should already have acquired in the course of schooling. This prerequisite applies to both attending and nonattending students
Teaching methods The prevailing teaching method involves peer exercises and classroom lectures aided, when necessary, by multimedia tools; practical exercises, viewing of documentary films and in-depth seminars are also provided.

Educational objectives The course aims to learn the main logical-epistemolgic issues regarding the notion of inference, ranging from ordinary argumentative practice to scientific practice.

Learning verification modality The student must deliver to the teacher at least 7 days before the date of the exam a written document containing a simulation of argumentative defense. You will need to choose a thesis and create at least 3 arguments in support of it. It will also be necessary for one of these three arguments to be a fallacy. Finally, a brief analysis (indicate type, structure, relevance, inductive probability, etc.) of all the arguments (including fallacy) reported should be performed. An example will be provided on the UniStudium page of the course. The writing must be in format .docx (Word) and a maximum length of 8000 characters including spaces. Learning verification modality The exam is divided into:
- a written test: there will be three sessions (summer, fall and winter sessions); the test is based on the appropriateness of the theoretical knowledge and of the capability in understanding and differentiate. In particular, it is composed by 31 multiple choice questions, with 3 questions for each teaching topic. Average test time: 30 minutes.
