Contents	Analysis of health promotion models and primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention strategies. The course explores epidemiology applied to chronic-degenerative and infectious diseases, social determinants of health, and behavior change models (Health Belief Model, Trans-theoretical Model). Specific focus is placed on designing therapeutic education interventions and health promotion within the workplace and the community.
Educational objectives	To develop advanced skills in designing prevention programs based on Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). To analyze and interpret epidemiological data to identify population health needs. To acquire methodologies for conducting health promotion interventions and motivational counseling. To evaluate the impact of prevention interventions in terms of health outcomes and sustainability.
Prerequisites	Consolidated foundational knowledge in epidemiology, medical statistics, and clinical nursing/midwifery sciences acquired during the bachelor's degree.
Teaching methods	Lectures: theoretical insights using multimedia presentations and case study analysis. Workshops/Laboratories: practical exercises dedicated to designing a prevention plan or analyzing critical issues in complex healthcare settings.
Learning verification modality	Written Test: aimed at verifying the mastery of theoretical concepts, epidemiological models, and regulatory frameworks. Group Project Work: students are required to develop and present an original intervention project (e.g., corporate prevention plan, screening campaign, or therapeutic education program). Assessment will focus on methodological consistency, the appropriateness of selected efficacy indicators, and teamwork skills.
Extended program	Module 1: Theoretical Foundations and New Paradigms: Evolution from prevention to health promotion; From the Ottawa Charter to Health in All Policies (HiAP). Antonovsky’s Salutogenesis: Sense of Coherence (SOC) and health-promoting resources. Module 2: Models and Operational Strategies: Behavior change models (Health Belief Model, Transtheoretical Model); Health Literacy as a tool for equity; Social Determinants of Health (SDH) and their impact on clinical outcomes. Module 3: Planning and Evaluation: The healthcare project cycle; Designing interventions based on Evidence-Based Practice (EBP); Motivational counseling and Therapeutic Patient Education (TPE); Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for evaluating health impact.
Obiettivi Agenda 2030 per lo sviluppo sostenibile	The course analyzed the contribution of healthcare professions toward achieving the 2030 Agenda goals, with specific focus on SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
