Educational objectives	To acquire knowledge regarding the clinical aspects, epidemiology, and control of the most common infectious diseases in Italy, nosocomial and healthcare-associated infections, and emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases
Prerequisites	For a better understanding of the course, it is mandatory to have a basic knowledge of microbiology, immunology, pharmacology and infection control
