- The course is divided in two parts, a theoretical part and an empiricalmethodological
part. The contents of the main concepts related to the
governance and public policies and also to experience cases of

FOR NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS OR AS
ALTERNATIVE TO THE SEMINAR GROUP: - Segatori R., I sindaci, Donzelli,
Roma, 2003 (CAP. 3, 4 e 5) Attending students are those
who attend the class and the seminar group researches. The Students
who do not attend classes and/or do not carry out the seminary works will
be considered “non-attendants”. - Educational objectives
- At the end of the course, the students will have attained the theoretical
and methodological competences of the main aspects of public policies
and the governance model. Moreover, the students attending this course
will analyze case studies and they will also simulate case scenarios. The
course involves students of several master’s degrees who will acquire the
necessary skills to work within the governance structures of the different
study areas. - Prerequisites
- No prerequisites.
- Teaching methods
- The course includes frontal lectures by the teacher. The last part of the
course is devoted to the group works carried out by students who attend
the seminar research. - Other information
- Additional information will be provided by the instructor during lectures and on the Department’s Unistudium platform.
- Learning verification modality
- The preparation of the students will be evaluated through a written test
on the first part of the program. Attending students
can check it. - Extended program
- The first part of the course aims to explore three fundamental theoretical concepts: (1) governance; (2) social capital; and (3) public policy.
The second part of the course is instead devoted to a group-based workshop activity, designed to deepen, through practical experience, the foundations of governance.
