Learning verification modality
Oral examination:

Objectives of the oral exam: the test aims to evaluate the specific knowledge of the student, in relation to the main topics considered during the lessons.
In particular, the student will have to demonstrate that he / she possesses the basic knowledge of general chemistry, applied to environmental problems; knowledge of the main processes and pollutants; knowledge of current legislation on environmental surveillance; main environmental analytical techniques considered in the practical lessons.
Extended program
Overview of general chemistry, photochemistry and spectroscopy. Astrochemistry: origins of nuclei, atoms and molecules in space, origin of planetary and Earth atmospheres. Composition, structure and origin of Earth's atmosphere. Physical properties of the Earth's atmosphere. Effects of the solar radiation, energy balance. Chemistry, photochemical processes, kinetic models. Atmospheric circulation and transport. Ozone cycle, nitrogen cycle, carbon cycle, oxygen cycle. Chemistry of the troposphere and anthropization. Ozone depletion, acid rains. Greenhouse gases and climate change. Atmosphere modelling, "CTM" models.
