- The course involves a series of practical activities related to the management of the San Pietro Green Team’s community garden and the maintenance of the green spaces and outdoor areas of the San Pietro complex.

- Educational objectives
- The aim is to provide students with an overview of:
-good agricultural practices for managing vegetable and other field crops;
-landscaping and maintenance techniques, and an understanding of the basic tools required to carry them out. - Prerequisites
- Students must have attended the Legislative Decree 81/2008 course (Health and Safety at Work) and be up to date with their tetanus vaccinations. No specific skills are necessary, as the course focuses on providing an introduction to the management and maintenance of vegetable gardens and green spaces.
- Teaching methods
- An introductory lesson followed by practical sessions. Interaction between students and the teachers is strongly encouraged. The approach is essentially practical. Once the general objectives have been defined, they are divided into specific objectives and assigned to students working in groups.

- Learning is assessed during the course of the activities, by guiding students and checking the quality of their work

- propagating plant material in the greenhouse and caring for seedlings in the nursery
- planting seedlings and installing irrigation systems
- caring for the vegetable garden (watering, fertilising and pest control)
- mowing and other operation for soil and seedbad preparation
